We are on the lookout for an Admin Assistant to join the Outsiders’ Buying team. Responsible to the Buyer and Merchandiser, you will be a key part of a small team that works across the planning, ordering and management of the Outsiders Store product range.
The primary function of the role is data entry and management; to take ownership of all information in our systems and ensure it is up to date and accurate across the various platforms and programs used. The role is full-time and based in the relaxed, spacious working environment of our central Manchester HQ which enjoys good transport accessibility and onsite parking.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking responsibility for data accuracy; from initial creation and entry to managing updates and/or corrections throughout the season and liaising with stores and warehouse teams to action amendments.
- Conducting all order reconciliations between orders submitted and order confirmations received.
- Carrying out checks for any price queries, liaising with brands to resolve where needed.
- Transferring orders from brand-supplied data formats into internal formats.
- Creating purchase orders on internal systems and manage the organisation and communication of the
purchase order tracker.
- Helping the Buyer and Merchandiser with the seasonal stock allocation set up.
- Monitoring performance of core lines and propose actions to Buyer / Merchandiser.
- Assisting the Merchandiser with arranging shipments.
- Assisting the Merchandiser to action Markdowns on internal systems.
- Preparing order sheets across specified brands / categories for review and sign off by the Buyer.
- Managing the calendar for launch product – ensuring stock is delivered in good time and that all relevant
teams are aware of timelines.
- Supporting Merchandiser with reporting.
You should be:
- Knowledgeable of the outdoor and lifestyle markets, the relevant brands and activities.
- Highly organised and detail orientated.
- Have proficient numeracy, literacy, and data analysis skills, along with excellent spelling and grammar.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.
- Quick to learn digital systems as you will interact with a variety from the outset.
- Able to communicate very well, both in writing and verbally.

- Good awareness of what Outsiders Store is about and excited to contribute and be a part of the business.
